Mary Lane

Mary Lane began her art career with glass flameworking, creating beautiful and unique glass beads, which she incorporated into her line of jewelry. Her flameworking eventually led to a passion for glass blowing. He education includes instruction at the College for Creative Studies Detroit and Michigan Hot Glass, and 3 levels of instruction at the Toledo Museum of Art. She was accepted to continue her education at the world famous Pilchuck Glass School, founded by Dale Chihuly, which she completed in 2007.In addition to creating her own works of art, Mary also works at the Toledo Museum of Art’s new Glass Pavilion as a Studio Technician, Glass Glowing Demonstrator and Glass Assist to the museum’s Master Glass Blower & Instructor.
